I lost one of the my Key FOBs and found that the local Toyota dealer is charging an ridiculous amount for a new FOB, ($175 - $200). I bought a replacement FOB on ebay for $45. Well make sure it has good air also. Check your air cleaner to make sure it isn't clogged. You should check your compression to make sure that it is within spec. Yes the CPS if it totally fails or becomes disconnected it will not tell the fuel pump to send fuel. The RAV4.1 fuel pump is only engaged when the engine is turning over. You won't hear it run just by turning the the key to the on position.Won't start, blinking dash, brake locked. I just bought a 2005 Rav4 yesterday, so you can imagine my dread when this morning I go out to start it and I get complete silence.
